Monday February 16th THE MANY FACES OF LOVE
+of+RoseBouquet2.jpg)
Today is Valentine's Day and so I think talking about Love, always a topic of interest, is a neat idea for this coming show on Monday, February 16. One day for the talk of Love just isn't enough, so I hope to keep the spirit going a few more days with this show.
Join us as we discuss what LOVE means in our world today, in various settings.

Topic: Changing Religious Denominations
Guest: Ms Peggy Gotthold
Peg grew up in a Roman Catholic family and attended Roman Catholic schools from first grade through high school. He father became a Permanent Deacon and she had Roman Catholic clergy in the family. Various Roman Catholic priests became friends of the family.
Through a series of faith challenges completely unrelated to the Roman Catholic Church , she found herself called to become a member of the Presbyterian community of faith. She is now an ordained Elder in the Church - a position roughly equivalent to that of a Roman Catholic Permanent Deacon.. She has recently completed her training as a spiritual director and has been working with those who struggle with the pull of remaining a member of the Roman Catholic community or to join another community of faith.

THE INDEPENDENT CATHOLIC
Topic: This coming week's topic for THE INDEPENDENT CATHOLIC is: VOCATION CRISIS? Does marriage help or hinder priesthood?
Let's talk about how the marriage relationship is affected by the addition of priesthood, and how priesthood is affected by marriage. Spouses are MOST WELCOME to join in this discussion!
This is a practical and spiritual topic, and one that affects every married priest, male or female, regardless of which came first, marriage or priesthood. We'll discuss some of the difficulties, and how to manage the beautiful balance and integration of these vocations.
Married priesthood has a two thousand year unbroken history in the Christian Church, and for those in the West, for whom this is a renewed custom, we can learn from those who have lived it for these two millennium, as well as from those who have rediscovered the blessing recently as married Old Catholic, Independent Catholic, Anglican, or Roman Catholic priests.
I invite anyone with experience as a married priest, or spouse of a priest to join us and share what works, what does not, and how to be open to God's Grace in a married priesthood--as a gift to the Church.
